Philippe Gibson

Philippe Gibson was born into a family of artists in Oyster Bay, Long Island. he started drawing at the age of two. He studied fashion illustration, graphic desing, and art therapy at The School of Visual Arts and at The Fashion Institute of Technology (both in New York City).
One of his first commissions as a freelancer was as an illustrator with J.C. Penney's in their Merchandise Development Department.

As a painter, Gibson has worked as a muralist, set designer, and has worked with various interior decorators. Since 1997 he has invested time in teaching and mentoring spiring young artists, as well as supporting community and charitable causes.

In 2005, Gibson was recruited by Gallery Guichard (Bronzeville) to relocate & participate as a featured artist. During that time he appeaered in three group showcases. Since then he has been recognized by:
